An Evening At The River Side Inn

Of course although this is a pub we would like to point out that NW Smarties neither condone nor encourage drinking & driving, it's just that we like to support our local breweries what with them having a hard time at the moment with the smoking ban and the cheep booze available from the off licence's. Also we tend to have a meal out whilst we are there (although this is not compulsory) and in true northern style the Pub belongs to a " Two For One " chain , which funnily enough means you get two meals for the price of one ...... " But what about use single people ? That's no good for us ! " I hear you say . Well fear not , because we have many single (read as butt ugly) members of the NW Smarties that will be more than happy to go half's with you , well on the meal that it , as for anything more .... well we'll just have to see how the night progresses, you cheeky little minx's you.

Also the Pub meal means that for the majority of us NW Smartie members it's the only chance for us to actually go out for a meal where the closing sentence of every conversation from the waiting on staff is not " Would you like fries with that ? " or " for just 30p more you can super-size that.".

And for those of you that are thinking of coming along for the first time we would appreciate if you could familiarize yourself with a fork and a knife before attending, its just that although we are not exactly the cream of high society we are still trying to give the impression that we don't come from an upbringing where we all have inappropriately close feelings for our cousins or pets.

The pub appears to offer a wide menu selection and although being a Meat eater myself (the more intelligent and cuter the animal the tastier it usual is in my experience ..... kitten Kebab is to die for) I would imagine they provide a good selection for the misguided vegetarians amongst you.

Also in this heath conscious age there are other things to be concerned about such as lactose intolerance, salt quantities, peanut allergies, Fat & Starch percentages, food additives & colourings, fare trade fruit & Veg , GM modified ingredients and so on. I can put your mind at instance easy by saying " Do I fucking sound like Jamie Bastard Oliver ? If you have a serious issue about the menu give the number of the pub a bell (above just under the address) and have a word with them, Jesus I offer to write a small website and then I am expected to do all the running around for every pointless query or request, you people ! It's just take, take, take, do you ever think to get up and find out something for yourself's ? You have at your fingertip's at the moment one of the most powerful fact finding machines ever conceived by mankind, and you just want someone else to do all the bastard work for you because you too lazy or just can't be arsed to engage your festering brain. But then with that said ....
